Writing Update & Schedule!

Good Morning all of you fabulous readers! 🙂

I thought an update was due since I’ve had so many messages asking when projects will be published. I haven’t made it a secret that the past year has been very hard on me with a variety of medical problems I’ve had. The good news is that I’m finally on new medication that seems to be working without severe reactions. Is it perfect yet? No… but I’m finally getting better!

Do I want to discuss my exact diagnosis with you? Please don’t take this personally, but NO. What I will share is that I am diagnosed with severe depression. If that isn’t bad enough, my body is so sensitive to medications that for the past year I’ve had a major (and once almost deadly) reaction to every medication they put me on until two months ago. I also had a few smaller issues going on as well, such as Vitamin D Deficiency, but thankfully that’s all cleared up now. Needless to say, I was really sick for over a year and it was hard on both me and my family. This isn’t a pity party though, just me being honest and as open as I’m willing to be. But better days are finally here and I’d like to focus on the positive of that instead of the negativity of what I’ve been through. So onwards and upwards it is! 🙂

What does that mean for you, the readers? Well, my two minions finally started back to school as of yesterday… medically speaking I’m better than I’ve been in over a year… and life is getting back to normal! Starting today I’m working on a secret project that I’m contracted to do for a box set that will release in November. For that I’m returning back to Adam and Jenna in the Big Bad Bite Series and that novella will be: Big Bad Bite Returned! This story is ridiculously awesome and I can’t wait for you all to read it! I’ll announce the name of the box set and release date closer to November.

As soon as I’m done with Big Bad Bite Returned I’m headed back to the Ex Ops Series and Lucas Young’s story in Sweet Recovery. The book is almost half way done and I’m ready to get back to his and Ginny’s story! I love this story so much. It’s made me cry and laugh. My only hope is that you all feel the pain and joy of their story the way I do. I’m HOPING (key word there – hoping) to release Sweet Recovery in about two months. But please don’t show up at my house ready to burn me alive at the stake if it takes a little bit longer than that!

Now on to the Regulators MC Series, and Hammer, with my bestie Chelsea Camaron. I know there are many of you out there that want it! She had a few things pop up in her life these past few months too, believe it or not. She’s knocking things off of her to do list and racing back to me, and Hammer, as fast as she can. What I can tell you is that it’ll release this year. Hopefully, right after Sweet Recovery releases. But that’s all the update I can give you for now.

Last, but certainly NOT least, is Kent & Chloe’s story from the Big Bad Bite Series, The Demon Who Loved Me. I started it… and it’s in limbo until I get the above mentioned projects done. I’m terribly sorry for the wait on this book. I promise you Kent and Chloe are not happy about it, as they grumble and bitch to me inside my head at least once a day. I’m shooting to release their book this winter. It may be at the end of 2015 (best case scenario) or at the beginning of 2016 (worst case scenario). But as of this moment, that’s what I’m aiming to do.

Please understand that I am terribly sorry for all of the delays. From the bottom of my heart sorry. I’m doing my best to try to get back on track now that I’m better, but I still have two minions, on two different teams, to cart around to archery practices & tournaments (which is basically a year round sport). A husband who occasionally demands my attention, lol. And a giant 75lb puppy who thinks Mom should pet him all day long. He’s an attention whore. LOL.

So, there you go. That’s my writing schedule. I want to mention two “events” coming up!

The “Shot Through the Heart” online romance book auction to benefit Meade Co, KY Elementary, Middle and High Schools will take place October 16th-18th, 2015 on Facebook. There isn’t an event page yet, but it will be coming soon. The lineup of donated signed paperbacks from authors is out of this world, so don’t miss it! 🙂

I’ll also be at my last signing for the year at Rebels & Readers Author Event in Huntington, WV, November 7th & 8th, 2015. The Rebels ladies have also donated tickets to their event to be auctioned off! Thank you Amy and Tonya!!! You can find out more info on that event on my “Upcoming Events” page.

Thank you in advance for understanding that life sometimes has serious bumps in the road. The love and support you guys have shown me blows me away and humbles me to my core. I appreciate each and every one of you more than you’ll ever know!

XoXo,

Jessie Lane

God bless you sweetie, from personal experience please allow me to say that Jesus Christ was my best medicine for depression. And His word (Bible) fills me with joy, caution and awareness every day and helps me deal with people and life=) YOU are more important than the stories you provide us (though I love them so), so no worries on the delay, so happy to hear you’re doing better!!!!
