Let’s get mushy for a second my dears.

Good morning my lovelies!

Let’s get mushy for a second my dears. I’ve been pretty frank with all of you about my struggles with depression in 2015, and how it was quite possibly the scariest year (medically) of my life so far. On top of my problems with negative and severe reactions to medications and suicidal thoughts, I also worried about what YOU, the individuals who were patiently (or maybe not so patiently 😉 ), waiting on my books might think of all of this. My journey through medication and in and out of the darkness of my issues made me realize that society as a whole still does not comprehend the issues of mental health yet, and how very important they are. That being said, the incredible Author Ryan Michele has poured her heart out into this amazing story and I hope all of you will take a chance to read it. Not just because it tackles the subject of depression, but also because I’ve heard from other amazing such as Chelsea Camaron, Terri Anne Browning, S.M. Donaldson and Dawn Martens that it will BLOW. YOU. AWAY! I don’t know about you, but the books that drop my jaw, make me feel it inside and out, and then leave me with a horrible book hangover are my very favorites. 😉

  1. Jessie, you are an inspiration with these posts. I to suffer badly from depression and anxiety. This has resulted in me not going out and having no friends nearby. The thing that I have found that helps is throwing myself into the indie book world and having my blog and designs pages. Reading this posts it is nice to know I am not alone.

I’m going through this every day. I suffer from severe depression, agoraphobia, panic attacks and anxiety. The things that I rely on are my cat Willow and my dog Sascha. I also need my books. My best present was last Christmas when I was given Amazon vouvhers and used them towards a Kindle. It’s made it very easy to lose myself which is a great thing. I also love the fact that I can incease the letter size as I’m sure some of my meds have made my sight worse.

I also want to say thanks for sharing your feelings with us. For my part it makes me feel less lonely 🙂

    • Animals are amazing for the soul. My Roadie was a huge help this past year! But books are a window to worlds where you can escape all the things you need to leave behind. I’m so glad you were able to get your Kindle. I hope you have lots of Happy Reading in 2016! <3

  3. I went through similar so many years ago and no one had a name for it. I would say 35 years ago. With doctoring for unknown systems and a trip to Mayo, I was told it was in my mind. With just pure luck and thinking about my children got me through it. Hang in there, I understand and think more people than you realize do. So much has been brought to people through the media. With loving thoughts for a speedy recovery and a great new life for you
