She was so beautiful and so goddamned sexy. And so completely unaware of any of it. But he was going to do something about that. Oh yeah, he was going to fix that. All he had needed was that kiss to show him it was possible.
She opened her mouth to say something but stopped abruptly as he was suddenly in her space, gripping her upper arms, pulling her slightly toward him, and pushing his face close to hers.
“Here’s the deal, Spock. I know that, for whatever reasons, you’ve lived a laced-up life. But I’m telling you now, I’m here to untie it.” He was so close he could feel her breath on his face. “So, get ready. Because you can scrunch up that hair and button up those blouses and slam your doors in my face. You can run, hide, rant, rave, give me the Vulcan death stare. You can give it your best shot, but it ain’t gonna matter. The knots are coming out, baby. So get ready.”
Then he let her go, moved around her, jerked open her office door, and walked out.
