First up what I read in the last couple of days:
Renegade Reject by Emily Minton and Dawn Martens (Renegade Sons MC #2)
I luurrrvve this book (and series) to a ridiculous level. Can’t wait for the next one!
Special limited edition of Renegade Reject that contains the novelette Renegade Wedding. Join Kidd and Jenna as they tie the knot in true biker fashion. This special edition and introductory price of $2.99 ends June 1, 2014, so get it while you can.
Daisy “Little Flower” Anderson has lived her entire life on the sidelines of the Renegade Sons MC. Her father is a member, and her mother a club whore turned old lady. Not wanting to follow their footsteps, she chose a different path; one that keeps her close to the biker family she loves, but out of the club.
Struggling to keep it together, she never thought she would have anything of her own, until she met Preach. He is everything she swore she didn’t want in life. One night of passion leads to unexpected consequences, and she knows, now more than ever, it’s time to move forward.
Garrett “Preach” Austin lived his life caught in his father’s iron fist. He never thought he would want anything more than freedom from his past, until he met his “Little Flower”. She shows him there is more to life than pain.
Preach has a secret; one that forces him to choose between Daisy and his brothers. Even though he loves Daisy, the Renegade Sons are the only true family he has. He knows he can’t have her, yet he can’t let her go.
When Daisy moves on, Preach realizes what he’s lost. Can he prove that he’s the man for her, or is he too late?
Renegade Reject contains adult situations some readers may find offensive. This is a raw and gritty story involving explicit sex, foul language, violence and drug use. Not intended for readers under 18.
Strings Of The Heart by Katie Ashley (Runaway Train Series #3)
Another series I ❤!
Twenty year old, Allison Slater has been in love with her brother’s bandmate, Rhys McGowan, since she was fifteen years old. But to him, she’ll always be Jake’s little sister and off limits. Now a college sophomore and licking her wounds from a bad breakup, she sets her sights on making Rhys see her as someone he could date…maybe even love. Her opportunity comes when Rhys visits his parents in Savannah where she is attending college. But the night she’s dreamed of turns to heart-break, and she realizes she’ll never be the one for Rhys.
For Rhys McGowan, his nightmare began when he woke up, naked and hung-over, next to his bandmate’s little sister. Unable to remember a thing from the previous night, he only makes matters worse by lying to Allison about not being interested in her. The truth is he’s spent the last year to ignore his body’s reaction whenever Allison is around. His resolve is tested when Allison comes on tour with Runaway Train, as both Jake and Abby’s nanny and to fulfill her fashion design internship. The more time he spends with her in the close quarters of the bus, the harder it is for him to resist.
Will Rhys realize that having a relationship with Allison is worth fighting for even if it means that he has to fight his best friend for a chance?
Losing Enough by Helen Boswell
My dear friend (who is positively FABULOUS) released a dark NA romance – YUM!
When Alexis Lin heads to Sin City for the summer, she wants nothing more than to dive into the clubs, spas, and concerts – the benefits of her father’s high roller lifestyle. On her first night in the city, Alexis gets into trouble at a club but walks away from it with the help of Connor Vincent. Private security guard to the top gamblers, Connor is all charm with his clients, but he’s the anti-Prince Charming when it comes to women. Connor doesn’t have time for romance. He has his own problems to deal with, including his wild card of a brother who has come to town to collect on a past debt.
Alexis and Connor’s unlikely chemistry heats things up as chance again conspires to throw them together. The stakes become even higher when unexpected tragedy strikes Alexis’ family and when Connor’s brother threatens to ruin the life that Connor has worked so hard to build. To come out ahead of the game, Alexis must be brave enough to listen to her heart, Connor must finally face up to his past, and both must decide how much they’re willing to lose.
Sometimes risking your heart is the biggest gamble of all.
Losing Enough is a New Adult Contemporary Romance. Due to mature subject matter (sexual situations and strong language), this novel is recommended for readers 18+ years old.
Finally I want to share an author who is seriously amazing and I ❤ her on almost a stalker-ish level.
