Release Update!

My website and I had a disagreement last time I tried to do a blog post… and since technology hates me, I’m pretty sure the website won since my post never showed up on my “Blog Page”.

So this is me trying to fix it (hopefully), and give you the update I tried to give you before I left for the Rebels N readers convention at the beginning of November.

Okay, here’s the secret I’ve been sitting on for a while now…

Lucas and Ginny’s story for the Ex Ops Series, became SO LONG that I’m splitting it up into TWO books. That’s right. TWO BOOKS.

Sweet Recovery will be the second book and… *drumroll*…

SWEET AGONY will be the first book. I will publish it in NOVEMBER or DECEMBER. It’s almost done, I’m just writing the last couple of chapters and going back to add a few things. I don’t have an exact date yet though. SORRY. I don’t want to announce  a date and then disappoint you if something crazy like flying monkeys attacking my house happens.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your love and patience as I’ve struggled through this year with my medical issues. Your sweet notes and messages to me have simply meant the world to me and kept me going when I thought about giving up. I’ll forever be grateful for all of you.

And as a treat to those of you who have been waiting so patiently for Lucas and Ginny’s story, here’s a short snippet:

Leaning down so our lips were touching, skimming as we breathed each other’s air, I gave her the simple truth.

“I’ll lead; you follow. I’ll command; you’ll obey. Give me all of you, sweetheart, and I’m going to take it, but I’m also going to give you back so much you won’t miss what I take. Understood?”

She bit her bottom uncertainly yet nodded. It was all the permission I needed, but I wanted more.

“Give me the words. I want to hear you say it.”

With a timid look, she asked slowly, “Say what?”

“Say you’re mine.”

“I’ve always been yours.” No hesitation. No doubt.

Isn’t Lucas Young YUUMMMMMMMMMMY. 😉

I can’t wait for all of you to read his story with Ginny. It’s made me laugh and cry. Want to punch Lucas in the face one minute and then cheer him on the next. Simply, it’s become one of the things that I treasure because of the raw emotions between the two characters.

Anyways… soon my lovelies! SOON. 🙂

XoXo,

Jessie Lane
